What do the Family Service Counselors do?

These people present the ministerial face of the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to the public.

They offer customer service and serve as on-site resource persons to all who visit or call.

They serve with experience, stability, maturity, compassion and professionalism.

They work at all eight of our cemeteries. On a rotating duty schedule, they daily serve at five of our cemeteries in four offices (Holy Cross, St. Adalbert/Holy Trinity, Mount Olivet and St. Joseph). Through on-call service, they daily cover three of our cemetery offices (Calvary, Resurrection and All Saints).

They write contracts for the purchase of the burial spaces, grave memorials in granite or bronze and grave. They write the orders for crypt & niche memorialization and for vases & floral decorations.

They handle all paperwork issues relating to cemetery burial.

They explain cemetery policy and procedures.

They meet with at-need and pre-need families and individuals.

They respond to questions and requests for information, pricing, etc.

They have completed training in grief education and grief support so they may better assist bereaved families.
