The day you passed away, I thought that I had died. I never felt
so much pain in my life. I was so sick and lost so much weight.
About 3 days after the funeral, I had a dream about you. It was
so real. You were living in a huge marble home with many others.
There were water fountains and gold fixtures. Your job was taking
care of all the babies. Although you spoke very little, I feel that
you came to me to let me know that everything was OK. From that
day, I knew that you were at peace...and so was I. I LOVE YOU MOM!
Your daughter,
Sarah
Dear Sarah,
When someone we love dies, a part of us dies along with them,
and that is what you describe in your expression to your Mom. Not
every one finds peace on their grief journey; how fortunate you
are to find such peace, and to have had such an important Mom here
on earth. No doubt your Mom would shout back "I LOVE YOU, TOO!"
God Speed Your Grief Journey,
Patrick Dean, MEd Director of Grief Education Services
