It's been a year since you've crossed mom, and you are still so
much a part of me I often find myself starting to call out your
name when I want to ask or tell something. I catch myself, then
ask it quietly- thinking maybe you will hear it. I sometimes think
you do. At times, I feel the gentle presence of your essence near
me- and it comforts me to know that you are not really gone, but
just "in the next room".
I love and miss you so much!
Remember when you asked me to print the words to What a wonderful
World-by Louis Armstrong, you loved that song. "I see trees
of green , red roses too, I see them bloom for me and you, and I
think to myself what a wonderful world." etc. With you in mind
mom, I am going to remind myself daily- what a wonderful world it
is- I'll take a good look at the trees of green and red roses too.
I will see them bloom for me and you - for I know you want us to
enjoy and appreciate our time on earth as much as we can.
Love and blessings
Patricia
Dear Patricia,
On this Mother's Day, as I read your love and longing letter
to your mom, I think to myself..."what a wonderful world."
A daughters tribute and remembering of her mom is indeed a fitting
Mother's Day card, perhaps the best you could send.
